Park Ji Sung & Co Out of South Africa

Park Ji Sung and teammates heading back to Seoul after failing to repeat the 2002 WC performance when they managed to pass knock-out stages. But i personally thought that they deserved to get better result by their aggressive attacking play.

They went down to two Ajax Amsterdam's striker; Luis Suarez's goal in the early first half and in the final 10 minutes of play in the rain soaked pitch in Port Elizabeth. The Asian's giant had themselves to blame for not getting the equalizer deep into 90 minutes of play when substitute Lee Dong Gook failed to beat Uruguay's keeper, Fernando Muslera when his low shot saved well by the keeper.

I'm really proud with their fighting performance. The first Uruguayan's goal could be avoided if the two Korean defender aware of the incoming Suarez on their left side of Jung Sung Ryong goal post.

The Korean really made Asian proud, statistic showed that they had more possession of the ball than the South American team.

Later that day, Ghana sent the Uncle Sam's troop packing when they beat them 2-1 after 30 minutes extra-time in Rustenburg to set up a first quarter final match against Uruguay.

Today, there will be two interesting encounter to look at; England vs Germany (2200hrs; GMT+8) and Argentina vs Mexico (0230hrs; GMT+8). I would like to see the German to go through and meeting Mexico in the other quarter final. But most probably Diego Maradona's men will success. Let's wait for any major upset...
