Stadium of Lights is always a tricky ground to play. The host gave their all to deny United's ambition of retaining the trophy and making history. Steve Bruce's starting line-up includes the ex-United trio of Phil Bardsley, Kieran Richardson and Fraizer Campbell. Even the manager himself was once a United captain.
While the Kop downed and buried at home, the Chelsea supporters already celebrating their title winning season. As for me, United didn't lose and Chelsea actually not winning the Premier League. Stevie G's madness set up a 'crucial' goal for Drogba the volleyball player. I wonder Gerrard must be over'Glee'd the night before the game. Somebody should go out and check the Kop's captain offshore account. Fabio Capello should reconsider of letting Gerrard have a plane ticket to South Africa... ha ha ha!
Beside Drogba, John Terry is Chelsea's volleyball team captain. He got booked for trying to 'dig' the ball from entering Chelsea's penalty box.
Phil Bardsley, our ex defender had learn how to dive inside the penalty box after watching too much Chelsea's game, specially Didier's antic and maybe some of our own Ronaldo's. He got a booking for that.
After all, Red Devils survived a tough test at Sunderland's ground, thanks to Nani superb finishing to the bottom right corner of Craig Gordon's goal. After the 28th minutes goal, Sunderland became more aggressive. United did look fragile in the midfield. I wish Park and Valencia started the match but both of them not even on the bench.
Owen Hargreaves finally made a debut for this season campaign after long injury absence with knees operation. Hopefully he'll get better next season.
Unofficially, the title belongs to United again. Let see if Wigan have the guts to make a major upset on the final day! Go Wigan! Go Devils!
