United Out of Europe

It was a frustrating night at Old Trafford.

The Devils were 3-0 up after 41 minutes in the first half. Only to concede a silly goal by a poor Carrick defending, and another immatured display of Rafael who were shown a red card after 2 unnecessary mistakes.

The departure of the young Brazillian was the turning point of the match. United were force to defend a 3-1 lead from the 51st minutes till the end of the match. Rooney limping again. He needs to be replace as soon as possible.

It's another dream start to United who scored as early as 3rd minutes when Darron Gibson latched a screamer to the bottom left corner of Bayern's Butt goal. That were followed by another 5 star performance by Nani who scored twice to put United in a quite comfortable lead and aggregate. I was thinking of another 'Roma masacre' show when United when 3-0 up inside 40 minutes. But unfortunately, it's not what you expected.

In my opinion, Rafael and the sending off was the main factor. Another factor was Carrick below par performance. I noticed that the midfielder was not at his best in the last few games. The supporters wasn't in the full volume, especially when the guys on the pitch really need it when Rafael's departure. And i wonder where is Park? I prefer Park to start instead of Carrick.

Love to see this line up for United next game.

Van der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Fletcher, Park, Nani, Berbatov, Rooney.

Sub: Kuszack, O'Shea, Giggs, Scholes, Macheda

Now United must do all they can to retain the Premier League, overtake Chelsea from the top of the table, make a new club and Premier League history by winning the league in 4 consecutive seasons; especially with very limited striker.
